Steven Giallourakis is the co-founder of the Cleveland Climate Institute, where he brings together his background in applied mathematics, computer vision, and community organizing to create resilient, data-driven climate solutions. A six-time cancer survivor, Steven is deeply committed to building systems that help people and communities thrive under pressure. His research explores areas such as sensor networks, open data platforms, and mathematical tools for understanding environmental change, with a focus on making Cleveland a model for locally rooted, globally relevant climate innovation.
Tessa Rosenberger is originally from Lakewood, Ohio, she is passionate about keeping Cleveland a beautiful and resilient place to live. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Dallas. With a background in atmospheric science and energy policy, she is especially excited about helping communities prepare for the impacts of climate change through local resilience efforts. When she’s not working, you can often find her swimming in Lake Erie or hiking in the Cleveland Metroparks.
